As any true Millennial, Celia has multiple side hustles. In addition to writing, Celia is a freelance editor, offering chapter and manuscript critique. Her clients include Sarah Hawley, Thea Guanzon, Katie Shepard, Jenna Levine, Julie Soto, Kate Goldbeck, and NYT & USA Today Bestseller Ali Hazelwood.

  • I love little more than curling up with a good manuscript and sorting through what needs to be improved! If you need a full manuscript review, I will do a developmental read (meaning: I will look at your story structure, your character development, your worldbuilding, your themes, but not necessarily give you heavy copy- or line-edits) and make suggestions for improvement.

    You will receive: in-line comments on your manuscript as well as a full edit letter.

    SLA: 3-4 weeks, depending on queue. (I will communicate about adjustments at initiation as needed).

    Price: $1,200

  • I’d be more than happy to take a look at the first fifty pages of your manuscript. We will communicate at onset about what kind of edits you’re looking for, as I have different pricing options for developmental vs. developmental + line-edits.

    You will receive: in-line comments on your first fifty pages as well as a full edit letter.

    SLA: 1-2 weeks, depending on queue. (I will communicate about adjustments at initiation as needed).

    Price: $250

  • If you would like critique on your query letter, synopsis, or a certain amount of your opening pages, please drop a line! Nature of specific critique required will be taken on intake.

    SLA: 1-2 weeks depending on queue

    Price: $45/hr.

  • I’m open to other kinds of critique, depending on your needs. If you only need eyes on one chapter in the middle of your story, a poem, a screenplay, etc., feel free to reach out and we can discuss what pricing would look like.
